Brora - what was I thinking? What is your most recent fashion faux pas?

I bought their fingerless gloves ... imagining myself youthful and slim ... tramping through elysian fields ..

Who was I kidding? I'm the wrong side of 45, plump in the wrong places, and I look like a fishwife ...

Can anyone over 40 wear this stuff successfully? Chunky knits can be so ageing ... And I didn't even think the quality that good considering the extortionate prices.

They are fabulous and with almost no chance of looking like a complete and utter cock monkey. Oh no indeedy ....

I think if I got one of those, dh would lose all respect. And vice versa. Much as I'd love a babygro in this draughty house, there are limits.

I wear Brora - have 2 dresses, pinafore dress, skirt, blouse, 2 jumpers (one fairisle), big aran style cardigan, ludicrously expensive scarf with pom poms thermal vest and wrist warmers. I did have more but sold some off when I lost weight. I wear it mostly to work because it is comfortable, natural fabrics and snug (I work in a very cold place in the Cotswolds) I tend to wear more bodycon styles out of work but I just love Brora and always get compliments when I wear it.

hopefully after xmas i will be able to afford new specs as am peering like a mole - new frames = new makeup, oh what a shame
