Where could I go to try wigs on to see if different styles suit me?

Pretty much as the title says.

I think there are websites where you can upload your photo and put different hairdos on your photo. :)

Yes there are websites. I bought one online when I cut my own hair and accidentally shaved off a bit too much at the back! BlushIts cheaper doing online.

SoMuchToBits · 24/11/2010 17:05

Sorry, this is no help at all,but I misread your title as wings not wigs Blush

beebuzzer · 24/11/2010 17:41

lol so much! so if she has said wings what would you advise? Grin

Intrigued by different styles of wings now.

I know about the picture thing but wanted to see it in 3D IYSWIM.

I'm not convinced that wigs can replicate what your hair would do in a particular style though, to be fair. The hairline, way it falls and texture and curl will all be different. Plus I can't think that wig retailers will be happy to help you with a situation which doesn't actually involve buying a wig. Many places charge a tenner redeemable against purchase.

If you live in a city most department stores have wig sections - I was in Selfridges yesterday and they have a whole wig/extension/fake ponytail area and lots of helpful assistants....

BitOfFun · 24/11/2010 23:01

They still want to sell you wigs though, LeChat- not help you with a decision at the hairdressers.

True, but say the OP has long hair/no fringe and tries on a bob-with-fringe wig she can see if the length suits her face shape, the perfect length for her jawline, if the fringe flatters her eyes or not....and then go to a salon feeling more confident if looking for a drastic change....

They will try and sell, but you can try on and then 'go and have a think'.
