I don't want to pay 25 for a consultation for buying the same lenses I always buy. any recommendations for websites with good customer service?

I use this one very good and they send you a reminder before you need your next lot.

I have used these

a few times and am very happy with their service. Shop around though to see who is doing your lenses at the best price.

I use Asda, very quick service and very helpful on the phone with a query.

Having said that, you are legally required to have a check up every year or they can't sell them to you. I used to pay £30 a month for my lenses including all checkups and solutions, I now pay Asda about £14 a month for the same lenses and solutions but the optician has put up the cost of the checkup to about £40 so the saving needs to factor that in, the optician also had an offer on recently for £50 cashback on lenses but it was still cheaper to stay with Asda.

Also when I called to cancel my order with the optician they offered to price match Asda for the lenses, but I had already got a years worth from Asda so I said no thanks.

Definitely worth trying out the price match thing.

so how do they know if you have had a check up?
thanks everyone

You have to put the date of your last check up and the name of your optician on the order, and they check with them, they also check the prescription details are correct.

oh noooooo
I thought I could do it without all of that
