Ok ladies, bear with me because I need to vent!

Ordered 2 ski suits for DC and a cardigan for myself. All arrived and were too big. Took them back to the store as it said I could. Once she had finished ringing them in to the till, she said that I could only have a credit voucher which I did not want. She then alerted me to the fact that this was in the small print!!!

This feels completely underhand to me and rather sharp practice. I rang the online number but they refused to help. The courier is now coming to pick the whole lot up on Monday. I would never have ordered if I knew that you could not get a refund through a store.

Just thought I would warn you all!!

Yep, that was my first online shopping experience with them too.
I also felt the need to air my views at this weird system.
I had to wait in a whole day to return one item which I tried to take into store.

And I'm still waiting for two coat ordered the first week they went online - which I think I might as well cancel.

(Not as bad as the Vertbaudet wellies which weren't available till Feb 2011 though!!)

I had a huge order with them and the lot went back. It did say on the delivery documentation about only credit notes if you return to the store, but I agree it's annoying and a bit odd. They do collect items to return free of charge though and they refunded me the original P&P which I wasn't expecting.

They are due to collect on Monday - can you remember roughly how long it took for them to then process the refund.

I ordered a dress on 20th Oct. and it's being delivered between 29th Nov. and 5th Dec. It's my Xmas do dress so there's no rush but 6 weeks is a bit ridiculous. Anyone else had to wait so long?

katiepotatie · 20/11/2010 21:25

I was told 3 weeks to proccess refund! I also wanted to exchange one item, which took 2 weeks and now they want to charge me a £1.25 invoice charge as I was late paying. I wasn't paying for the item until it had been replaced! Angry
Snowsuit for dd is great though

katiepotatie · 20/11/2010 21:26

oh and the courier was a nightmare to contact ended up having to lug it all to the post office Angry

i ordered a coat last week- because they didn't have it in store- it'll arrive between the 13-17th dec- that'll b 5 weeks. can't believe it, and didn't realise until i went back and checked the small print yesterday Confused
really want to cancel, but i like the coat and don't have time to trawl around all h&m's in the area Angry

bumpybecky · 20/11/2010 23:21

I can't remember exactly how long it took, but I know the second part of my order was delivered the last week of October and my card statement says the refund was on the 9th November, so that's 2-3 weeks
