Have you had a look at Bluezoo range in Debenhams? I think they start below age 7 size.

My very fussy dd likes their range.

They also have 25% off in Debenhams at the moment.

moragbellingham · 18/11/2010 17:51

Ted Baker have lovely long sleeved ones in too.

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 18/11/2010 17:52

Yes, most/many of the Debenhams ranges have the "older girls" category starting at age 4, so there could well be a good option there (check it out online)

MinkyBorage · 18/11/2010 17:55

verbaudet? Beware though, their sizes are tiny

Ty just pulled up the page with party stuff and dd is doing a no no no wa. Think going need go through other stuff with her

She likes snakes animals etc but not cutey tops with animals her words she is mostly happy jeans and top but wants a party outfit and I want to make most if it she's my only girl but though she looks very dainty and girly she's is anything but

think going to need to be seperates as dresses tend hang of her if buy to fit width she gets into 2-3 or 3-4 in width lenth wise 5-6 at the most

This is going to get harder as she gets older isn't it :( she will always be tiny and be suprised if she ever grows out of child/teen sizes

H&M have a good range of children's clothes. Also recommend Zara

DD1 is a tiny 9 year old. She's wearing the shorts & tights fashion a lot just now. Shorts are age 4/5 or 5/6 mostly.

I got her a lovely grey/pink check pair from Asda muted shades with a little silver thread through them for her school Xmas party. She's wearing them with black tights & black skinny top.

There are lots of this type of thing about but the secret is separates as sets just don't work for her. She's small but needs tights & leggings a bit bigger for length as she's about age 7 in height.

It's difficult when they're getting older and have definite ideas that you just can't get, but the bonus is their clothes last ages. Smile

tassisssss · 18/11/2010 18:54

I was going to suggest the shorts and tights thing too! Tesco have silvery tweedy shorts (a bit glittery I think) with purple tights and a choice of purple tops. I was looking at these for my dd who's 4. I think Next have similar.

pantaloons · 18/11/2010 18:54

Next have quite a big cross over in their ranges, one is birth to 6 years, the other is 3 to 16. Perhaps she might like something in the older girls range, but in the smaller sizes?

scurryfunge · 18/11/2010 18:57

good range of sizes

scurryfunge · 18/11/2010 18:58

great minds pantaloons

MumInBeds · 18/11/2010 18:58

Not everyone's taste but Matalan do some older looking party stuff in smaller sizes.

goingroundthebend4 · 18/11/2010 19:00

thank you looks like have some new ideas and places to check out

seems ws have same problem ,dd can still very easily get 2-3 year old skirts on and done up without even breathing in but there to short in my eyes half way up her thighs though not flashing knickers .

She is only 112cm and 17 kilos little miss tiny

i was going to suggest taking a look at matalan - their older range starts at 5, and some stuff is very nice (and it's cheap so you can buy an outfit just to be worn once and not mind too much)

,whisper>?boden

moragbellingham · 18/11/2010 21:43

What about Zara? Quite stylish and grown up but not in a bad way.

JustBeachy · 19/11/2010 12:54

asos have quite a bit of choice - I especially like the Yumi Owl dress Smile

Jbck · 19/11/2010 18:36

OP DD1 is almost 20 kilos but 127cms so she's maybe even skinnier looking.

I was just putting washing away and she's got school pants that are age 2/3.

Last week she put on DD2's leggings by mistake and only realised because they were like shorts 18/24 months. Grin

I used to be like that too Sad
