Is it possible to find a "Spring" dress for Christmas?

I guess the title says it all really.

Does anyone know anything about the colours thing? Particularly when your season is not the current season. I'm still trying to get to grips with it. And yes, I know it isn't definitive but there is a difference when I wear the brighter colours (psychological?).

However, when I browse the shops online and in RL it's all pretty dark colours, which I'm now trying to avoid.

Am I fighting a losing battle?

After a year BF DD I was hoping to get myself a lovely dress for Christmas to reclaim myself a bit.

Help!

What are your wow colours? There's lots around in navy and red which I think are in all the seasons' pallets. Also teal.

That's what i've been trying but the blues I was rec'd were Bright Navy and Oxford blues (?) and the dresses I've seen are quite dark. Similarly, red are pretty bright (e.g. geranium and poppy red) and not the darker shades around just now.

Wow colours are coral, hyacinth, turquoise, geranium, leaf green amongst others.

Am struggling. Be honest, am i thinking this too much? Being too strict?

Can you get a dress in a good neutral - navy or chocolate, maybe - and then dress it with wow coloured accessories?

Sorry - just read your 2nd post properly, and realise you're already looking for navy. I do understand, really, as I am a 'spring' whose wow colours are coral and apple green.

I am learning to buy things when I see them, rather than to attempt to shop to a deadline.

And yes, you're right. I'm going to just have to get used to buying stuff as and when as it's clear you're not really going to necessarily get the right colours when you need them.

It's a minefield

Have you tried using Shop Style? It's quite useful when you want to browse for something specific, eg turquiose dress. I'm autumn so share some of your colours; got a lovely geranium dress in Toast a couple of months back. My consultant also told me that Boden is good for these colours so might be worth a try? Is a wrap any good? This looks like a fab colour, maybe with statement necklace or scarf?

tethersend dress is gorgeous and beautiful colour. Have you bought from there before and know about lengths? I'm 5 feet and it looks quite long (have hobbit-esque legs)

i feel your pain as I am also a Spring. I have bought a dress from Hobbs for Xmas, but I can't find it on their website. It is one of 'our' greens, but it is a day dress than a party frock.
I think purpleturtle is right that you have to buy when you see rather than under pressure to get something as that is when it all goes wrong.
I will just suggest Kettlewell - they have dresses and separates that you can make into a dress, and you know the colours will be bang on.
It is very hard to get Spring colours in Winter and you do have to look and look. Gets even worse when you have had your image done as you have to factor that in too. The upside is that you do look good at the end! Well, I think so anyway.

I feel like I hardly buy anything any more, because if I find the right colour it's very often not a great style for me!

I have definitely saved money by investing in colour & style consultations.

No - don't be scared! You'll end up able to buy things that mean you'll always look fabulous.

Definitely worth the investment, when you've got the funds.
