anyone got a hair wand??

hi all,
im looking to get one of these for my daughter,we were in a shopping centre and a lady done a demo on my dd's hair,it was lovely,didnt have the money to buy it then,buy would now like some,
cannot remember what make they were,but were about £50.
i really dont want to spend £50,
have been looking at the babyliss ones or remington, theres also jannu ones on ebay???

i have just got a remmington one and it heats up really well, it has adjustable temperatures on it. i will say one thing about wands though is that it is very tricky to get the hang of, and endless burnt fingers as there is nothing for the hair to grip into place with like tongs

the babyliss ones have a wee glove that goes over your thumb and finger so u dont burn them!

I have a Babyliss one, it has a red handle. Think it was around £30.

What do you think of it esmee??is it good? does it take long to heat up???

I have the remmington one and it is very good, but I too have had lots of burnt finger tips, and the first time i used it i burnt my forehead (not a good look!)
Once you get the hang of it its brilliant and was only £25

I have the Mark Hill one... As the others have said, it was really difficult to get the hang of and I still find it quite tricky, although I suspect it would be far easier if you were using it on someone else. Mine came with little gloves for your thumb and forefinger, but to be honest they did nothign but make the whole process even more fiddly.

The Mark Hill one has a variable temperature setting, but I'm contemplating big barrelled tongs instead because sometimes the old way is th best way!!!

I've got the red Babyliss one with the black glove, works great, although I did burn DD's ear with it.

ok cool,its for doing dd's hair so hopefully will be easier than trying to do my own!
tjhughes had the red one for £17 so will pop in tomorrow and see if they still have them,thanks all x
