Dress help needed

I am going to a party next week where there will be a lot of dancing. I need a dress but not too expensive, under £60. Does it exist? I had a look on the party dress thread but all the dresses were in the hundreds which is just not possible ever just now.
TIA

Get this, it's lovely.

tethersend · 13/11/2010 12:09

So's this actually.

What sort of thing do you want?

aleene · 13/11/2010 13:15

ooh thanks! The first one is really pretty but I'm not sure I can pull off the baby pink.

OP posts:
tethersend · 13/11/2010 13:20

It would look good with black opaques.

What's you colouring?

How do you feel about gold?

aleene · 13/11/2010 13:22

The gold is not doing it for me. I am not in my twenties any more sadly.

I am brunette.

OP posts:
tethersend · 13/11/2010 13:24

Ok, what size/bodyshape are you?

My twenties are behind me too Wink

aleene · 13/11/2010 13:27

Size 12 pretty average body shape.

Hmm... I like the idea of velvet, but the dress is hideous, sorry.

This is similar but nicer, although over budget... also over budget

this?

This with jewellery?

tethersend · 13/11/2010 13:38

JackieNo · 13/11/2010 13:45

I quite like the Betty Jackson one.

Are you happier to show off your legs or your decolletage?

aleene · 13/11/2010 13:46

I really like that first John lewis one, just a bit over budget Sad

OP posts:
aleene · 13/11/2010 13:47

I suppose so Jackie! haven't done either in a long time!

OP posts:
JackieNo · 13/11/2010 13:49

OK - how about \link{http://www.dorothyperkins.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33053&storeId=12552&productId=2063131&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=208782&parent_categoryId=226988&sort_field=Relevance&pageSize=200\this one}? Dotty P's has a lot of v nice looking dresses, but most are short-ish (well, definitely above the knee), but sounds like you're OK with that.

blossoming · 13/11/2010 14:02

I have this dress. I love it. Reduced from £95, to £38, 100% silk. I am dark brunette, 5'7, comes to above the knee. Wear with black opaques and sky highs.

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 13/11/2010 14:09

Goodness, I thought tether was saying herbie's dress was hideous Shock Grin

tethersend · 13/11/2010 14:20
