Too cold for flip flops to warm for boots.........HELP!

I have about 6 pair of flip floppy type things and about 5 pairs of boots and nothing for the bit inbetween.

I tried a pair is casual shoe/trainer things today in clarks but I'm not sure I'll wear them enough to justify the £40. Ok that's not huge amount of cash but if they get chucked in the back of my wardrobe after a few weeks then it is a waste.

My only other footwaer are my now redundant running/gym trainers and these would be rubbish in cold wet weather.

Help!!

Gve up the flipflops 2 weeks ago, am wearing Russell and Bromley loafers with bare feet.

Trainers? I can only wear in the gym and I can't drive in them anyway.

sweetheart, my feet are hurting just by looking at those shoes.

I can't do pointy or anything over 1.5 iche heel.

Willl try and find the clarks show/trainer thing in a mo.......

I'm still in flip flops. Mostly out of choice but also partly because i have broken a toe so it is more comfy

Clarks shoes are lovely, especially for people with narrow feet like me. Bought a gorgeous pair of brown leather boots from there the other day. Well I wore them today anyway, with a brown gypsy-style skirt and a pink top. A tiny bit warm I suppose but no-one pointed and laughed. With my postnatal body it's about as much as I can hope for!

This week i 'ave been mostly wearing Ballet pumps. SO comfy!

I need some boots too but have only ever worn chunky heels.

I need to try lady heels one day!

My heels are too narrow to wear ballet pumps. I also overpronate too much.

Had another look at the clarks ones and I do actually like them.....(a woman can change her mind you know)......but they're 50 quid, not 40

Just to resurrect this - it sounds like ballet shoes are the answer. Anyone know where I can get some nice ones for wide, high feet, size 5?

mugface · 02/10/2005 14:32

bump
