Yep i do, especially shoes and trainers.

SoupDragon · 19/09/2005 14:05

Was going to ask how you planned on fitting your "frontage" into children's clothing til I saw you meant boots.

hunkermunker · 19/09/2005 14:05

I haven't for a while, but have done in the past and will do again!

SoupDragon · 19/09/2005 14:06

But in my case no because they don't fit Too tall for clothes, feet too big for shoes.

I do, both shoes and sometimes clothes, though more in my pre children days!

Fimbo · 19/09/2005 14:07

My friend buys Kid's Gap stuff for herself - usually at sale prices too [envy.

Have bought some age 14 jeans for myself once! Also some shoes from John Rocha at Debenhams. Why not?
If you like them, go for it.

SoupDragon · 19/09/2005 14:09

Are you sure that's an adult 7 and not a child's 7?

lou33 · 19/09/2005 16:30

I can't fit into kids shoes, but i regularly shop in the kids dept for clothes.

Gobbledigook · 19/09/2005 16:38

I've got summer sandals from Next girls (white birkenstock type ones) and i've got kids timberland boots which I could honestly not tell apart from teh ladies apart from that they were £40 cheaper!!

Like those boots Cod.

Gobbledigook · 19/09/2005 16:39

Soupy - it's adult 7 because I've got size 6 sandals from Next girls.

marthamoo · 19/09/2005 16:40

I think children's shoe sizes are different - I remember buying hiking boots and the assistant telling me a child's size 6 hiking boot was smaller than an adult size 6 (she may just have wanted me to spent more money). Also with long boots I'd be a bit worried about the leg allowance - not that I'm saying you have fat calves, cod

Gobbledigook · 19/09/2005 16:41

Fish - you can only try them - they can always go back, that's my motto!

peckarollover · 19/09/2005 16:41

i would but i havent

i think those boots have a bit of a child like shape tho

JoolsToo · 19/09/2005 16:42

No - but I try and get to the 'K' village at Kendal for a good old Clarks bargain - you can Merrills there too!

expatinscotland · 19/09/2005 16:42

Ooooo, someone tell me, what does an adult ladies' size 5 shoe equate to in kid's??

clary · 19/09/2005 16:45

see now I have wondered about this.
Actually my runnign shoes are a child's pair (size 5) - the chap in the shop said this would allow me to get a better runnign shoe for my (ahem!) small budget of £35!
But have also wondered, usually when ironing ds1's 7-8 szed T-shirts, could I get these to fit me? What about Boden girls' tops in a 13-14 size? They are much nicer than a lot of grown-up clothes imo.
Good point about "frontage" tho soupy!!

SoupDragon · 19/09/2005 17:03

GdiGoop, I thought children's sizes stopped at 6 though. I remember looking in the kids section in a shoe shop out of sheer desperation and they all stopped at 6.

Gobbledigook · 19/09/2005 18:33

In Next they deffo go up to 7 in some shoes. Dont' know about anywhere else.
