How to be stylish during pregnancy - HELP!

Pregnant again.....

Wasn't terribly stylish first time around (wore old/non-pregnancy clothes till 15 weeks - trousers tied with bits of string etc). And once a started getting maternity clothes I just didn't know what to get and none of it seemed to suit me.

So this time around I am determined to be stylish (I generally am when not pregnant).

I am 5' 11" and a size 12 when non-preg but I puff up as soon as I concieve to a 14. Happened at 7 weeks last time and at 5 weeks this time.

I need help finding some sort of coat - not a black one as black is far too harsh for me as I am of the extra pale varierty.

Is it ok to wear leggings with tunic tops? And if so which styles/types/from where??

Jeggings - are they still ok or "so over"??

Other types of trousers - what to get? Cords? from where?

I also need boots - pref the zip up ones for when I am to whaley to bend over - brown ones pls.

I don't mind if suggestions are pricey - I like to buy decent quality stuff.

Please help me.

Watching with interest (though am possibly not very stylish myself) as got no replies to my recent call for maternity wear help Grin

If you can find this coat, it will look great. There is one at Joseph at Westfield, don't know what size. I had a grey one from many seasons ago and it saw me through my pregnancy. No buttons or buckles, so works well even over a big bump. I love this colour.

And these Emma Hope boots. Have these in black and wore them to death when pregnant last winter. They have a zip.

I designed all of my own maternity wear!!

I have a lovely green mac from Crave.

Clothes I am going with a leggings and tunic or dress mainly atm. I did get some cords but they don't sit right somehow and tbh leggings are more comfortable.

The boots I'm wearing are the ones I bought last year from Duo, they are brown zip ups.

I've got a few nice bits from Asos - Mamalicious is the brand. Quite nice quality, and not all dreadful sludge colours which is what Next/DP and other high street maternity stuff seems to be.

Oh and last year's cardi coat from Pure is getting a re-run.

I'm not particularly stylish - was looking for inspiration here! Blush

I'd be careful of knee high zip up boots as my calves got bigger and I couldn't zip up my boots last time. :(
I'm looking for an ankle height boot as I did keep my ankles - just about!

skandi I hope you find that coat! It's gorgeous. The fabric is amazing too. You'll wear it long after you are pregnant.

The other recommendation I have is to buy non-maternity wear dresses but ones which are really boxy, straight up and down - in a fabric with a bit of stretch.
What I did was wear a belt just above the bump, a narrow belt with a fine buckle or a bow buckle. Looks nice. I thought I looked good anyway!!

What else... oh, if you need any maternity tights which don't have a seam running down the front then I found that Wolford have one kind of seamless opaque tights with a very wide soft waist band. Great for a special occasion, though they aren't marketed as maternity tights.

The only decent maternity trousers I could find were from Seraphine. It's hit and miss though.

Good luck with your pregnancy!!

I like this coat. Nice dresses on here too if I remember rightly.
