Bravissimo sizing - transferable?

I had a fab time in bravissimo last week but only bought one bra - a daringly underwired one to wear to work. I need breastfeeding bras for the days I am with DD so am thinking of making suggesting DH look at Hot Milk for Christmas. I went in to Bravissimo a 36DD and came out a 32F Grin. Am I likely to be the same size in other brands or not?

TIA.

I found the sizes to be transferable apart from if I was going for a different style of bra. If I buy a wonderbra or a similar 'push-up' style, I go up another cup size to avoid spillage Smile

Hope that helps! Hot Milk lingerie is lovely, lucky you.

Thanks BIL. Thinking about it, she did say that a moulded cup would mean going down a cup size.

Fingers crossed DH gets the hint!

I find Bravissimo very accurate on sizing. However bear in mind that all manufacteurs differ slightly.

Avoid M&S though a there sizing is pathetic and they normally try to push me into going up to many back sizes to get a fit in the cup. One back size is okay but anymore just means its isnt supportive [rant over]

They are pretty much transferable, but different manufacturers and different styles will fit slightly differently, so you always have to try on.

I remember my first Bravissimo bra - it's a fab feeling when you get a proper fit, isn't it. I couldn't stop looking at my BiscuitBiscuit

yes, they are. I have been shopping in Bravissimo for years, and I find I am exactly that same size in many other shops.

Thanks everyone! I do feel great in it!

dietcoke I had naively been going to M&S and that was who had me in a 36 - no support whatsoever!

That doesn't surprise me at all!

Glad you finally have the support you need!

I was measured as a 30 inch back and decided it was really too tight after many years of buying them.
Fed up of red welts when disrobing I moved up to a 32 and feel much better!

I finally went to Bravissimo after years of M&S. I am now a 32J, in M&S I was a 34E and my boobs were round my middle, now they are back up where they belong!
