I need this coat Aigle Everywarm in a black size 12 and can't find it anywhere. Anyone know a stockist?

I'll be very grateful indeed.

That is lovely MM Will look out for you.

PlumSykes · 10/11/2010 14:26

Did you see this one, monkey? Not quite so nice -no fur- but not completely hideous.

monkeysmama · 10/11/2010 14:31

Cheers Plum but I want the (faux) fur. I've looked for ages and is one of the very few I like!

MM I ordered that aigle last year when I was in similar puffa search but I had to send it back as just felt too unstylish in it.
I tried everywhere and in the end bought a great black knee length puffa from H&M for £50 - have you looked to see if they are doing any again this year?
I found the Zara coats too slim cut under rams etc - the H&M was nice and roomy - I can get a thick jumper under easily but has waist shaping but no belt. H&M is synthetic fill rather than down but I wore last year through all snow ets and it was v warm.
I fancy something more colourful this year - am eyeing up this - am thinking it has a eurotrash/moncler vibe. I like its shiny-ness but appreciate is not everyone's cup of tea.

You also need these boots. OMG they were my life saver last year. I think they actually look good on and they kept my feet so warm at playgrounds/school run etc.

Feel free to ignore me - feel really bad about the Wallis maxi bum steer I gave you last week! Twas horrid wasn't it Blush?

Having just looked on LOADS of websites, I get t efeeling that the Everywarm is a last year design, and has been replaced by one without a hood. You ould try contacting Aigle UK to see if they can track one down for you:

No surprise there that we would chose the same Esher - I love your style! I can't find it anywhere anyway. I emailed them but am not that hopeful. I'd like to at least try it. Will probably go for the North Face artic parka if not. I need something really warm - performance really.

So glad you didn't like the Wallis dress either. (well, that it wasn't just me) Yes, it was foul! Did you see I got the necklace and it broke immediately.

I did quite like the necklace but am trying to be really good at the moment and buy quality over quantity and only buy things I really really love ......so I sent it back too. I didn't mange to break it though. Wink

Sorry i didn't mean to be rude about the aigle. It's just that I obsessed over it ridiculously last year. Finally I tracked it down in a 10 only to find it was too big so then had a size 8 sent - cost me a fortune in postage and returns postage - it was very warm and well made but I just thought that, given how expensive it was, it just looked a bit dowdy, especially when done up.
Last year I was puffa obsessed - I made a special pilgrimage to the Juicy Couture shop to try one I saw on NAP - cut too slim under arms.
Maxmara - came up to Bond Street and tried on everything they had. Ditto DKNY.
After all that, I found one in my local sticksville branch of H&M that had loads of people were asking me where it was from as it looked so nice on.

monkeysmama · 10/11/2010 21:29

No, thank you for all the info - really thank you! Jokes aside, we do seem to have similar taste so wonder if I should just give up. H&M would definitely save me some money! Think I'll see if they get back to me tomorrow and if not I'll have a rethink. I am just fed up of being cold!

If I get a chance to get to the shops tomorrow, I am going to try on the uniqlo down coats irl and will report back forthwith.
BTW, have you searched Timberland? TraceyB got one from them in the sale and it was v nice . Maybe they are doing something similar again this year?
The Aigle thing is hard as nigh impossible to find a rl stockist to try one on before purchasing.

monkeysmama · 10/11/2010 22:12

That would be great! Will have proper look at Timberland tomorrow. Thanks again Esher Grin.

I live very close to Hungerford if they do have one mm.

I have the Uniqlo premium ultra light down coat. Lovely, so super light and probably would do you for a British winter, but it's not going to be quite warm enough for a brutal Danish winter (especially if it's anything like last year!). Super lovely slim and flattering fit. Shiny, but not totally bin bag shiny - I have the black. I like it (without the fur) and am getting loads of wear out of it and has been fine for walk to school in 1-2 degrees this week. Think it might be all about layering under to keep super warm.

If you're a really freezing cold person, it might not be enough - but since they're £50 in the sale it can't be bad...
