Oh dear I really don't know where to start. Pre baby I wqas a curvy size 14/16, largish boobs no defined waist as such but managed to look pretty good.

Following the birth of my baby 5 months ago I am a wreck. I'm about a size 18/20, I don't have a waist at all. I would say I'm your typical apple shape. Big boobs, big tummy, slimmer arms and legs.Shape wise I really do look about 5/6 months pregnant!

I have a posh chisrtening coming up and every time I think about it I burst into tears. What on earth can I wear that isn't a tent or makes me look even more hideous.

I can't show too much boobs (bad stretch marks from pregnancy) won't wear a short skirt as my legs look so slim compared to my big upper half it look awful, what can I do?

I would love if someone could point me in the right direction.

why not, if its more october than sept, it could be cooler if not colder, go for palazzo trousers nice wide leg,(wide leg will balance out your thighs thus creating a long column effect rather than a top heavy look if you can see your ankles, dont want to offend you with that) nice boots or shoes with a point not too pointy, and a lovely wrap cardigan as malory says from monsoon with a lace edge top underneath, some sequins or something on the wrap would make it look very dressy.
then in your hair - have it blow dried, loads of volume and a nice hair piece a big clip or something sparkly.
how much is your budget, as boden have gorgeus shoes with a fab sparkly thing on them but they are £100 eek!

tried the personal shopper thing last week, it was a disaster, she tried to dress me in old granny clothes and it looked hideous. I looked about 20 years older than I am

would also suggest loose trousers, black or dark colour, a v neck top of same colour with some details around the neck line & then a long jacket/coat that you can wear open. You def want to go for a stream lined look with a bit of definition.
The other thing would be a dark longish dress (mid calf) with a nice jacket & long scarf, high heels.
Everyone who says get hair done, is right too. If you are made up with top hair do, it makes you feel fab.
