Oooo, I'd like to join please? Have a 14 week old baby and really feel like I'm running out of excuses for looking such a state!

Off for a haircut this afternoon and plan to sort out my make-up drawer this afternoon. Then it's off to the osteopath on Saturday so that I can run without getting backache and shift all this baby weight Grin

fruitstick · 04/11/2010 12:03

bouncingblueberries, my DS2 is 20 months so I have 17 months worth of extra excuses Wink.

You can add - 'thou shalt go back to bed' to the rules if you like!

oooo, bed....

briefcasewanker · 04/11/2010 12:20

I'm in! Am about to go upstairs and get rid of all the clothes that don't fit me, but also clothes i don't like. Am going to book a hair cut too!

bouncingblueberries · 04/11/2010 12:21

just read your previous thread - some really great ideas! It's funny isn't it, we know what we need to be healthy and feel good - water, fresh fruit, veggies, fresh air, exercise, bit of pampering etc - but sometimes you need someone to spell it out for you. It's not rocket science, but it is easy to forget sometimes!

thanks for inspiring me to stop treating myself like crap.

briefcasewanker · 04/11/2010 12:25

Totally agree bouncingblueberries

Am also on day 4 of not smoking and feel like its starting to get easier Smile

IBlameThePenguins · 04/11/2010 21:55

I'm in! I have done the first two sessions of couch to 5k, and have a haircut and colour booked for Saturday.. Still need to work on reducing my tea intake though!! I have set myself the goal of losing half a stone by Christmas, and am weighing myself on a Monday, if anyone else wants to join?

I NEED to de-clutter my wardrobe though. My clothes range from a size 8 to a size 16, and I wear about 5 out the million items I have in there!

xx

IBlameThePenguins · 04/11/2010 22:18

ps - how did the haircut go fruit???

fruitstick · 04/11/2010 22:33

Ooh ooh, haircut was lovely.

I've never had my hair dyed before and once I'd got over the shock of how much it cost Blush, I am pleased.

My haircut isn't radically different and the colour has matched my own but just warmer and covers the gray.

I have to say I look so much better. Especially as you can't actually tell that anything too drastic has happened, but the slight change in colour and the eyebrows make me look much more polished and a lot less knackered.

And my tea consumption has plummeted and, as a result, I genuinely have not felt the need for a biscuit.

Next week, exercise.

Oooh, I can't wait fo mine now :)

Right...tomorrow, I will aim to limit my tea consumption!!!

iwilldothis · 05/11/2010 10:29

May I please join you?
Loved all the ideas in the last thread.
So far I:
*have got myself a haircut
*am trying to drink more water
*went to dr about my skin and started course of tablets...hopefully will see results soon
*am trying to get out more into the fresh air
*trying never to wear anything I don't feel 100% happy in, even if I don't plan on leaving the house
*am giving myself twice-weekly mini-facials (at home)while I relax in the bath

Determined to beat the winter blues! :)

dizzydeee · 05/11/2010 10:34

what wisdom - I vow to try a couple of these

fruitstick · 07/11/2010 15:52

Week one is drawing to a close.

All rules have been adhered to thus far. Hurray!

This morning DH took DSs to the park and, instead of putting the washing away as usual, I exfoliated, put cream on my feet, applied make up and blow dried hair.

It's like the anti-fly lady Grin.

Family bike ride managed to get us all out in the open air for an hour or 2 and Sunday dinner is nearly upon us.

Heaven only knows when the washing will put itself away.

Next week - exercise Grin Grin

Sounds fab. I had my hair done yesterday...feel so much better for it :)

I also watched an couple of eye make up tutorials on youtube, and gave it a try today...when i cam downstairs, DP said...you look nice...have you done something new to your lips? Confused

Tea consumption is still pretty high..but I will address that tomorrow!!

DP and I started salsa last Monday, and I can't wait for the next class tomorrow..so all in all a positive week!!

Here's to week 2!!

xx

Good thread.

I shall lurk.

Have healthy lifestyle but always wear scruffy frumpy clothes, feel no point dressing up when my day revolves around doing the school run in the rain.

I shall try to be inspired by this thread!

bonfireblue · 08/11/2010 14:20

Brilliant thread!

I hacked the front of my hair with a pair of nail scissors this morning Blush

I need help!!
