Is it worth getting clothes taken in?

I have a fabulous dress from Coast that I bought a few years ago and only wore once. It's a 14 and I'm now a 10, but I have an event to go to that it would be perfect for. I've no idea how much to expect to pay, or even if the results will be worth the trouble. Any experience? I'll see if I can find a pic of the dress, it's slightly boned which is what worries me...

do you have a local reids..?

we have one at the trafford centre and imo its been fab. I have had x2 dresses altered by them. They were to long and I had them measured there and all sorted within an hours or so.

I paid around £14 for an hour turnaround.

You are better taking it to a place that will see the dress on you, pin it in place and alter it from there.
They will also be able to advise if its possible.. hth x
