Make-up Advice

I'm not very good with make-up with regards to application and colours etc but as I am getting older and the creases are appearing I feel I need to use a bit.

For the past couple of years I have had a Max Factor compact thingy in 02 shade but I carry it in my handbag to put on en route to work (never have time before) and it all crumbles up after just a few months and there is a cloud of foundation when I open it.

My blusher is a Clinique one I bought when I got married 11 years ago after a bridal make-up consulation.

Where can I go to get a simple, inexpensive make-up set/items with someone who can advise me on natural looking colours.

I have also used Boots No 7 stuff in the past and am looking at that sort of price range.

I have a Boots and a Debenhams near to me.

If your skin is reasonable/good a tinted moisturiser is quick and easy to ''slap' on.

The blusher is a germ hazard lol only keep it to use for colour reference - and then only if it suits you still - skin tones can change alot in 11 years!

imo I would spend a bit more on your makeup.
Also spend a little more time on applying it as it makes all the difference.

I apply make up every day (bar a few..) and I find it takes me around 10 mins max. FOR EVERYTHING. And its worth it imo. Going out is differnt, I like to take longer...

I would go to either boot and debenhams with a few make up counters and seek advice. Dont but everything from one counter, I find that I buy different items from different counters and im not brand loyal. If I find something I like or go somewhere that I get service then I will bhuy or buy from them in the future.

Designer makeup although expensive in the initial outlay its worth it imo, last longer, looks nicer and you get the relevant advice and help. ALSO, if you buy such items from boots or debenhams both offer rewards scheme which allow you to buy items for free over time. ALSO look at visiting to buy when there is a sale on or dicount day. Usually saving 10% + some also offer £x off an £x spend iykwim...

AND.............. finally with christmas nearly here how about make up for gift idea..??
