Does anyone know if you can still get them. They were soft brushed cotton and usually had little embroidered picture on the chest.
Surely im not the only on who remembers them.

I don't think you can get nighties for babies anymore as there is a risk of them riding up and covering the babies mouth / nose.

Having said that I've never looked for them so they may still exist.

You can get nighties for toddlers though.

John Lewis do them I think. DD had one as a gift earlier this year. Lovely white with a teddy on the front, and so easy for night time nappy changes!

ooh, here

I had them, and they're lovely!

Mine came from Mini Boden - but a decade ago (oh no - how did that go by so fast!). I also had a cotton jersey Winnie the Pooh one (Disney?) and a couple of ones from Blooming Marvellous.

The jersey ones came with firmly attached short ribbons at the hem; when closed there was no possibility of riding up.

You could always try hunting (amongst Grannies and Great Aunts) for old patterns and making your own. Or try somewhere like Selfridges or Harrods (but be prepared fir eye-watering prices).
