Think it's about £45...just wondering whether anyone had tried it and what you thought? Worth the extra money?

Yes. I had it done for my wedding and it was great.
Couple of things though - I wouldn't go for a darker colour because three weeks is quite a lot of regrowth and looks a bit nasty.
Your nails will look perfect for a week, great for another week, and a bit tatty in week 3. But there will be no chips at all which you will never achieve with a normal manicure.
It does make your own nails underneath a bit soft - 3 weeks is a long time for no air to get in. But no permanent damage (IME).
You also are supposed to go back to the salon and pay to have it soaked off...I peeled mine off because I am NAUGHTY. Also gave me something to do on the longhaul flight home from honeymoon ha!

is this bio sculpture?

Hehe - thanks for that tc!

Was thinking of going for just a pale nudey colour for hols so might be a good option me thinks.

Not sure what the name is LLOI, I was just asking the people in Boots about it today and they just called it gel something or other, not the same as the other gel stuff that's more permanent though.

Sorry never get my nails done so I'm not sure of terminology!

In Nails Inc it's just called Everlasting mani

RipMacWinkle · 27/10/2010 20:17

I had that done - the one I had was Shellac (by the company Creative Nail Design I think?)

Although I think there's one by Jessica too called Geleration (or something similar)

I loved it. But on mat leave just now so could afford to keep getting it done all the time.

i got geleration by jessica. was only £15 or £20 at my salon. lasted a week with me, but to be fair it was a week my dishwasher was broken and i had a lot of guests! i loved it, the glossiness and thickness of the polish.

Do you have to pay/visit a salon to get it removed or can you just use normal nail varnish remover (or pick like tc!)
