Hello

We are off to a very posh, very urban 'black tie' wedding in November. DH last night came home with the LK Bennett dress, which I've ben wittering on about for weeks now and really wanted to wear for the wedding :)

I don't know how to post a link, but it's knee length, grey tweed with ruching up the side. It's perfect and feels very sophistiated, but just a little (eek!) plain.

Any thoughts on how I can liven it up a little for the wedding? My first thoughts were a fur stole and some interesting heels, but I'm not very imaginative and would love some more innovative suggestions!

Thanks in advance....

Is it this one?

It's very nice. What about a "statement" necklace and a cuff?

I'm thinking purple.

Mebbe lacy tights?

Or ladylike gloves - not the full-length ones, but gloves that come halfway up your forearm?

NB not all of the above at once!

It is indeed that one! Feels lovely and very comfortable to wear.
I was thinking purple, or a sort of berry colour for shoes or perhaps just something black but really, really high and shiny?
Would a purple stole make me look like an accident in a poodle parlour?
btw- I don't think I know what a cuff is. The ones I am thinking of are only really available in quite, ahem, specialist shops!
Thanks for the ideas....:)

Har har. A cuff is like a big solid bracelet with no fastener. Some here.

I think the dress is so nice, the lines are so clean, it would be a shame to cover it up with a stole. You probably need something to keep you warm (between car and venue?) - I would go for a shrug, fake fur or cashmere. Just my opinion. You'll know better than I do what suits you!

I would buy the shoes last and make them go with whatever else you got. Will there be dancing? I couldn't do dancing in very high shoes!I prefer shoes and hosiery to be the same colour, but again it's a matter of taste.
