Jeans...where am I going wrong?!

I'm really fed up-all of my jeans end up with a saggy bum after an hour or so of wear. I have one pair that don't. I live in jeans and really want to find a pair (or 5!) that don't do this. Should I be avoiding stretch or not? I'm a size 10/12. I also want to find a nice pair of combat type trousers and have failed. I'm generally feeling quite miserable-I hate all my clothes SadI just want to feel good in my clothes-baggy bums just make me feel really crap Grin
Please advise me where I should look and what I should look for Confused

I think the expensive jeans do keep their shape better, especially the ones with stretch in them. I have baggy bum problem with Warehouse, Joules, Gap, but never with Joseph and James Jeans. I am a 26" size usually (or an 8/10) and have found from bitter experience that quality counts. (Also found Moschino a very good fit and kept their shape.)

Hope that helps. Yopu can often get designer jeans bargains on BrandAlley and the Outnet or TKMaxx.

Thank you olderandwider, I was fearing that would be the answer! I bought 2 pairs of 7 for all mankind jeans a couple of years ago and it is one of these pairs that stay the best (though after writing yesterday even they aren't behaving that well Angry)

So I should look for Joseph and James, Moschino.....any others?

Any ideas on where to look for nice (not too scruffy) combat/cargo type things? And what else can I wear instead of jeans?

I got a nice pair of tight cargos (Houlihan's?) from Oasis. Pleased with the fit and the stretch and they seem to wash OK too. Quite high rise, which I think is helping with my baggy bum problem!

I wear jeans most days, but have a pair of French Connection black velvet skinnies that feel a bit more interesting, ditto the Houlihan's.

A longish skirt (just below knee)boots and thick knitted tights can look good imo - team with a cardigan in a bright colour and belted in to stop everything going a bit too prim.

Often it's good to just browse a few websites/magazines and see how models are dressed - gets your eye in for how clothes are being teamed up.

My personal musts are - ankle boots, thick tights, longish skirts, narrow jeans/trousers, bright knits.

There are some nice chunky knitted jackets/long cardigans around too, which are great to sling on for a slightly more "done" look.

Hope that helps a bit.

I used to have the same problem and found that sizing down fixed the problem - it's a bit of a squeeze at first but jeans always give. hope this helps!

I like the levi curve jeans, you will have to get measured for them though. The skinnys are very flattering.

I think river island do good jeans and have never has problem with saggy bum and quite reasonably priced!

Diesel are also v good.

Try looking on ebay for more expensive jeans. Just try the make on in a store first so you know which fit/ style/ make you are looking for.

I know what you mean. I have some Gap curvy jeans and they look great when first one, but go baggy after an hour or so.
I am wearing some jeans that I bought in Asda for £12 last summer and the fit on them is unbelievably good!
