Bored of Boden - what else?

I do still like Boden a lot, but their clothes seem to be dominating my wardrobe. I also shop at White Stuff and M&S Per Una quite regularly and occasionally Hobbs.

Where else can I try? I suppose I like the mail order aspect of Boden - I prefer to buy and try on at my leisure at home and send back what I don't need. Traipsing round the shops for hours on end and not finding anything is a right pain.

Whistles!! they are my favourite. How old are you? If you are more mature, like myself, but love fashion then Whistles are they way to go. Ive got fantastic dresses from there and their leggings are amazing.

I do Boden but am bored of the same old and its not going out dressing is it? I do still love their basics but, for me , Whistles are the way to go!!

I have this Superdry shirt and the cut is fab - very sexy!

Bonsoir · 28/10/2010 08:41

Love this waistcoat

overmydeadbody · 28/10/2010 08:43

Why do almost all of these clothes shops specialise in grey? Do they think women over 20 don't wear any colour?

It's my main bugbear with Isabella Oliver.

Bonsoir · 28/10/2010 08:47

Agree with the grey/black/neutrals thing. You have to spend a lot of money in Marni to get a really great colour palate, IME Angry

overmydeadbody · 28/10/2010 08:51

Yes I agree

I don't like buying cheap clothes, just because I can't find any bright colours elsewhere.

Have descovered hollister after searching for weeks for a colourful good quality gilet that didn't make me look like a rambler.

overmydeadbody · 28/10/2010 08:54

BikeRunScream I love Ness!! Thank you for posting that.

Bonsoir · 28/10/2010 08:58

The red check Superdry shirt is really great and mixes and matches well with more expensive clothes.

I'm always on the look out for relatively inexpensive tops that are colourful as they seem to update a look more quickly than trousers/skirts.

FunnyLittleFrog · 28/10/2010 10:00

Whitles leggings are £55!!

FunnyLittleFrog · 28/10/2010 10:01

Sorry. Whistles. The shock sent my spelling to pot.

The said leggings are more like jodphurs. Their dresses are really flattering so you do get your wear out of them. I wouldnt bother with the tshirts.

dizzydeee · 28/10/2010 12:11

I got a silky skirt from an Animal outlet for £5 - and then hoody x 2, hoody for DS & hoody for DD oops - they are really thick and snug....

vintage4 · 28/10/2010 12:58

what a grunmpy looking model in your waistcoat Bonsoir

vintage4 · 28/10/2010 12:59

*grumpy even

Meggles76 · 28/10/2010 14:39

I think different shops suit different body shapes. I am short - 5ft and fairly petite.

Warehouse works well for me for knitwear, tops and dresses
Monsoon works well for knitwear
M&S Autograph / Limited collections are good for short length trousers
Next petite is good for jeans and coats
Joules is good for tops and tunics

BikeRunScream · 28/10/2010 19:59

Unfortunately I love Ness too.

They have got me wearing skirts again.
