Can anybody please help me before tomorrow morning?

Am going to London tomorrow, so have access to most places I guess. Will probably go to Regent Street, the Selfridges end of Oxford Street and possibly Marylebone High Street; perhaps Covent Garden - though I suppose I could go anywhere central. Maybe Kensington.

Anyway - things I would like are:

  • some grey ankle boots, with a very slight heel but not witchy looking, possibly biker but don't have to be with a chunky sole, deffo not wedges and must be mega-comfortable;
  • a black and white (or black and grey, or black and beige, or even black and v pale pink possibly), long sleeved, scoop neck t-shirt but decent quality and not one where the neck goes saggy after a couple of washes. I thought that Whistles might be the place for this but so far they have failed me;
  • decent v neck jumpers, possibly in a wool/cotton mix: deffo no acrylic! In good, dark colours like burgundy, purple, charcoal.

Thanks! :)

blimey I feel exhausted for your shopping trip tomorrow

isn't it easier to do it online and send back

BelligerentGhoul · 24/10/2010 21:52

I'm ashamed to say that I quite like that PP t-shirt. The Oasis one has too high a neck but otherwise good.

All the Uniqlo jumpers seem to be dry clean, which is a pain.

Ggirl - I'll be fine. I don't actually have any mirrors (except a little make up mirror) in my house, so it's easier to go shopping!

How about here for grey boots? the blowfish ones for £70 are nice, and the grey Next lace ups are good too, and good price.

employmentlawquery · 25/10/2010 00:23

next (sort of)

woopsidaisy · 25/10/2010 08:28

Not sure if too late,but what about these boots?

BertieBotts · 25/10/2010 08:33

H&M are good for basics like long sleeved tops - they keep their shape well.

happilyeverafter · 25/10/2010 08:48

Mango have some decent stripe tops like this

BelligerentGhoul · 25/10/2010 20:25

Thanks all - I am back and didn't buy any of the things I wanted but did have a lovely day.

I like the Mango top but the neckline is far too high for me.

Next is looking a possibility for boots but they had nothing in store. Normally I can't stand Next but I will investigate in Birmingham later in the week. I like the look of the lace up ones but suspect they may be plastic for that price. Will have a proper look later.

Don't like those KG ones at all, sorry.

Did you go to BR? I bought the best pair of jeans there for about £45 last year, high waisted (I am too old and too fat for such things as pube huggers) a little stretch, dark with a little bit of a boot leg. Bloody fab, then I went and had a baby and they will never fit again!

BelligerentGhoul · 25/10/2010 21:56

Had a quick look in BR but not really taken by it.

Whistles had some lovely stuff but I have sadly reached the understanding that their stuff and my body are a combination that just wasn't meant to be. They manage to be too big AND too small, all at the same time. They seem to be made for v wide, flat people, whereas I am narrow but wobble in and out a lot!

Did manage to buy dd1 a coat and myself some make up though - and various cute bits in Muji and Emma Bridgewater.

Selfridges Selfridges Selfridges.

Yes BR has moments like that - when good brilliant, when not can't be arsed with it but always worth a visit just in case!

Make up - brill
