HI Ladysybil
I walk a lot (around an hour a day)and always wear my Dr Marten's Edie boots. However, after buying them in Dec last year I have worn them out-busted zip and worn down to air pocket sole. Someone said that now Dr Martens are made abroad they don't last as long (don't know if true) but I was disappointed by length of wear I got out of them. Sole was not that grippy in snow either!

Uggs are for indoors; don't let the fashion industry persuade you otherwise.

Buy Solovair. They have the Doc Marten sole and are made in England by a workers' cooperative.
