Toddler snow pants?

Do toddlers need to wear snow pants in the winter over here? We're in southeast. Or can you get away with fleecey pants over trousers?

If so where do you buy them? Looking for either 12-18 or 18-24 sizes and I'd prefer the kind that have straps that go over the shoulder and zip up the front. H&M are the only ones I've seen and I'm not wild about the colours. Ideally they'd go with a red or purple coat.

what about these?

BirdyArms · 19/10/2010 18:48

I don't think you need them. They are nice to have but I think it's probably better value to buy a good pair of waterproof trousers which they can wear over layers and which might get more wear all year round.

If you live somewhere like Wales/Ireland/Scotland, could be handy in the snow or if you're out walking in the rain/playing on a windy beach etc. But no - popping to the shops - you wouldn't need one with blankets in buggy etc.

thanks for these. I forgot I started this. The style is right luciemule but I was hoping for cheaper!

Might have a look about for waterproof trousers then.

What about these from H&M. They have quite a good range. I bought some this year for DSs,as in the wet/snow they will still be able to get out.And at £5.99 won't break the bank!

www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/sp+Reversible-Fleece-Pull-Ups+A8512 my ds2 and ds3 wore these last year in snow were great.

Thanks for these two suggestions. Will check both of them out!. Wish the colours were nicer though, I'm so bored of the whole pink/blue thing.

H&M delivery due Mid-November unfortunately!

PlumSykes · 23/10/2010 20:07

Jojo have ordinary waterproof ones, and also warmer fleece lined ones.

Would also recommend H&M ones, we've had for DS & have lasted 2 winters
