Should I keep this top?

I bought this after applying for a job to wear if I got an interview. I don't think that I've got an interview now though.

I really like the top, but I'm not sure that I would wear it normally. It isn't the sort of thing that I would wear in my current job and I'm not sure whether it would work casually. I could take it back, but am trying to justify keeping it!

Do you think I could wear it casually?

yes it's nice! always useful to have something in case you get another interview too

GertrudetheDog · 19/10/2010 08:39

I think it's a bit meh and you could take it back and get something that you would wear. Disclaimer: I am hideously biased against tops that are stitched together as they never sit right on me and I spend all day pulling them down/up/left/right.

SixtyFootGhooool · 19/10/2010 08:48

I think those fake layered tops are a bit dated now.

OK so the take it backs are winning so far...

In its defence it actually fits really well and looks nice, regardless of whether it is fashionable any more (I am no stylista and I live in the sticks where nobody else is either!)

I think if it were just a matter of taking it back to the shop and getting a full refund I would do it straight away but I am being a bit mean about the fact that I bought it online and so won't be refunded the delivery charge. I know its only £3.50 but it was £3.50 on nothing IYSWIM. OK, I know, it doesn't make sense...

Well it's either £3.50 for nothing or £3.50 + quite a lot more than £3.50 for a top you won't wear (top is out of stock so I can't do the maths for you).

Take it back andget either a shirt or a cardigan, or both.

Take it back.
I wouldn't wear a cardi for an interview.
Don't know how long it would take for it to go a bit grey either (washing black and white together).

Tootiredforgodtyping · 19/10/2010 16:22

bleurgh

MissMummyT · 19/10/2010 23:40

Could easily wear that casual with a pair of jeans and cardi.

Horrid and not suitable for an interview unless you are going to be a childminder/work in a charity shop.
