I think prices are reasonable for pieces like that if you like them. Love the headboard!

Blu · 12/09/2005 17:10

Prices: reasonable, BUT I would be wary of the headboard because it might get those 'head' patches on it if you actually lean against it when sitting up in bed, and i would be wary of the wallhanging because it might make me feel very dizzy and fall over if I came in a bit drunk.

Also wouldn't want to see it out of the corner of my eye when I was reading - it might make my eyes go a bit scranny.

Ikea have similar sort of things for wallhangings or try Habitat maybe not as big OR buy some canvas & DIY !!

or how about track down some printed heavy fabric - mount on a rod & hang on wall !?

That way if it got dusty you could wash it !

I love the wall hanging. The headboard is nice, but I really can't imagine what those look like on the bed wihtout the footboard to match. We have a bed with leather head and foot board, and side bits, and I love it. So I would save up and buy a bed instead. We've had no probs with the leather neither.

i have a nightmare with beds - we have a narrow bedroom with really only one place to put the bed - so bed length is restricted to less than average, and dh is over 6'2", so we cant have a footboard )or he would have to sleep folded up and he likes to stretch out) so the footboard is out

That's a pity. In that case I would def get the headboard. They are bloody comfty too - I find them great for leanign up against doing middle of the night feeds. I'm nearly 6ft, but we have a king size bed, so that jsut about accomodates. I can remember sleeping hanging over the edge tho!
