ear-piercing in Manchester, not Claire's

a friend has asked me to ask Mumsnet...her DD is getting ears pierced, but doesn't want to go to Claire's as a couple of friends have had a bad experience there. Any one know any specific places where they have had a good experience/feel confident with hygiene etc?

I had mine done in Lewis's in Manchester - not helpful as it is long gone. Does make me think I would start with trying the current dept stores (Harvey Nics, Selfridges etc)

thanks mysteryfairy, she phoned Kendals as they used to have a good reputation but they don't do it any more. Am sure she's tried the other dept stores but will double check.
