John Lewis kid's pyjama sizing

I want to buy some pyjamas for DS2 who is 22 months. They only do size 1-2 or 3-4.

Any idea what the sizing is like? Is the 1-2 going to be far too small in 6 weeks?

DD has loads from there, all single sizing, she has age 6 or 7.

How peculiar. The rest of their non character range is single sized so I'd stick with that and size up if they are cuffed at the leg/sleeve. They are very cute though.

My mum bought my DS a pair of cute striped blue ones with matching slippers aged 18mths-2yrs and they fit him quite well (he is 18m)but are quite long in the leg though he does have short legs. I would go for the 3-4.

These are sold through JL, but are not JL own make, which is presumably why the sizing is different. I had a look in store, and they seem snug rather than large cut.
It won't hurt if pjs are big... but you will be gutted if he grows out of them in 3 weeks time!

But Hmm that they are listed as boys' pjs!
