Can you help me find a beautiful dress for a black tie do. My budget is £80 and I want to be adventurous!

I have no dresses suitable for a black tie event, I am thinking cocktail dress rahter than a long shiny number.

I'm a size 8/10, have a flat chest and muscly shoulders (so strapless and one shoulder dresses don't flatter me, v-necks with little sleeves seem to look best.

I have always been very conservative in dress and would like to be a bit more adventurous, so would like something that isn't black and plain.

I have a very nice back so wouldn't mind showing that off.

What dresses would be nice?

Personally I think that things that 'hang' and 'drape' look fab on girls with small boobs and angular shoulders and good arms. And they have the benieft of disguising a bigger waist/tummy - not that you have that, but anyway... You say you have a flat stomach, but if you have small boobs, or a boyish figure then something designed to show off a great waist may be wasted (pardon the pun!)

But anyway - the black lacy one is really really pretty, and probably more usable over time. It's got a slight 50's prom look to it as well which is very current.

Well, when you put it that way, you're probably right, showing off my waist is wasted a bit if the dress also exentuates my 'boyish' figure. Luckily I have hips, so I'm not straight up straight down.

Love the black lace one though, am going to try it on today after work Grin
