Boden is nasty cotton/ viscose bobbling mix.
John Lewis seems to all be acrylic- really don't want to electrify my DDs.
Polarn O Pyret was just cotton last time I looked.

HAsn't anyone heard of sheep? Confused

I just want a nice wool cardi for my 4yo DD

I used to buy them from the WI ladies at our local WI market stall. They would make to order as well.

HotchpotchHoney · 11/10/2010 14:11

somewhere like etsy or folksy, all handmade items and most sellers will make to order.
Monsoon do wool cardis but usually mixed with angora so my dd won;t wear them as they itch her face.

Cath Kids at cath kidston may be worth a look

Tease me not LTEC lest I bite off your hand- I'd love a proper Cake'smumgrannyknit! I adore hand-knits on kids.

ggirl- are WI just a country thing or do they exist in cities? I need to seek out the ladies who knit around here...

Will check out the other links- thanks all.

I hate wool. itchy, nasty stuff.

Paribus · 13/10/2010 13:47

Zara? They do lots of wool cardigans in Zara baby (up to 36 months), maybe they've smth for the older age?

carciofi · 13/10/2010 14:23

I bought a lovely merino wool cardigan from here. Also try Benetton.

pickledbabe · 13/10/2010 14:25

I second Soup's hatred - I can't wear wool because it makes me itch massively.
Knitted cotton is probably your best bet for a child.

GrimmaTheNome · 13/10/2010 14:29

If you think finding wool cardis/jumpers for little ones is hard, try it for older girls - two years running I've been on here complaining about the lack of such things. Quite hard to find cotton even.

JenaiMwahHaHaHaaaaah · 13/10/2010 14:33

Another one here who finds real wool too itchy if worn next to my skin.

I bought a real wool jumper for ds from Gap many moons ago (but he hardly wore it - too itchy).

accessorizequeen · 13/10/2010 19:52

carciofi, those knitti cardies are gorgeous!
I think it's the blend that matters, I don't like normal wool but merino doesn't itch at all.

John Lewis? (Or larger branches of Waitrose Food & Home) - think saw some in there last year but have not been in recently. Sorry to be vague.

oliveandpickle · 14/10/2010 15:41

Trotters.co.uk do lambswool cardigans and wool cardigans.
