i mustn't have a silly neckline or look like it wants to be a dress when it grows up. and it must keep me warm and crackle when i walk along nylon carpeting

Wrap have a v-neck cashmere one - longish though

Celtic sheepskin have a kimono style one - and quite a few other nice ones

I linked to brand alley the other day as they had v-neck cashmere sweaters, and scoop neck and grandad neck in loads of colours for £34 (plus hoody's at 50)

Uniqlo do merino V-necks in lots of colours, and very cheap. I think they also do cashmere. Fairly plain but you can dress them up.
