Wanted..Warm quilted/down coat please!

Ordered hideous one from Boden thats straight back in box didn't even try on, too bright, too shiney. yuck.

anyway looking for something not too huge as im size 14 as it is but need to be warm. have woollen coats too but want something for park, playing outside with kids etc or if it snows again.

Had a lovely one from o'neill but just sold that.

I've just bought one from M&S and it is absolutely gorgeous, warm and cosy. The colour is lovely too (dark metallic khaki) much nicer than the pic on website.

Had loads in my local store today, but you may find it too padded.

I went for a North Face one last year - ummed and aahed over cost for ages but best thing I did. Can't wait to wear it again- I think it was the metropolis. Its padded by not too thick. I am v. short so would have looked like a ball in anything too padded !!

I have a Landsend one which is fab - quite plain but they do lots of different colours and they aren't expensive.

Def Landsend. I received my down gilet in brown last week and was so pleased I have now ordered a down coat in navy

I bought a heavenly north face one last year. Quite expensive, but worth every penny. Waisted, so not too unflattering.....

(had bought a lands end one before that and had to return it as I looked like a fat bin bag....)

Zara had some nice looking ones in store last week, couldn't vouch for their warmth though....

I bought one in a small (I'm a sturdy size 10) a couple of weeks ago and it's brilliant - lightweight but roomy enough for a thick jumper underneath, and waisted so I don't resemble a walking sleeping bag.

I am now praying for snow!
