Help -80s fancy dress for a fat bird!

I'm pretty overweight (5ft 2and a size 22) and I'm going to an 80s fancy dress party in November - what the hell can I wear?! Top is no problem as I can get a black lacy top and the accessories are easy but what am I going to do about (gigantic) bottom half?! In an ideal world I'd wear a rara skirt or a tutu - would a long one over some black leggins be doable? Thing is, leggings are hideous on me anyway... all I can wear is long skirts or jeans and none of those are 80s. Oh help, what am I going to do?!

Not 13 November, in Bucks?

Raid the charity shops. They will be full of 80s horrors.

Nutmums, no, not the 13th!

How about rolled up jeans or white trousers, ballet pumps and LOTS of plastic jewels? I definitely remember wearing rolled up jeans with my teabag top! Have a lovely time.

Or you could go all chaka khan and wear a long skirt and some sort of spangly top- MASSIVE hair and ridiculously long red fake nails ;)

Oooh, rolled-up jeans, that's a great idea! A la Bananarama! Thanks everybody!

I am going to one on the 27th. I was going to get either a "choose life" or "frankie says relax" t-shirt from Ebay and wear with leggings (hate them on me, I feel like I am wearing tights!) and legwarmers but rolled up jeans would be more of a goer. Also going to get a curly permed wig from Ebay

Think Alison Moyet, draped black with head-cloth type twisted head-band.

(Or Divine, if you're brave).
