Has anyone had one? Are they worth it? The nearest salon that does one is 50 miles away so want to know if I should save my money.

Friend had it yesterday. It is AMAZING, though she hasn't washed it yet. All the gals in the salon where she went have had it though, and apparently they all now have the glossiest hair imaginable. Tempting, but so £££

Is this the same as the 12 week blow dry?

It's just been banned in Ireland because Global Keratin is now on the banned list apparently.

Check out the products used as a lot of the brazilian blowdrys do not contain any banned sunstances . Brazillian blowdrys are amazing if your have the can turn damaged unmanageable hair into a shining easy to manage crowning glory . They are not to be mistaken for chemical straightner which are harsh on the hair .lots of salons now offer the service but don't directly advertise so its worth phoning your local salons to ask ! We charge between £50-£120 depending on length and thickness of the hair some salons charge double that so do shop around .

sailorsgal · 07/10/2010 18:02

I had it done in August before my hols and was initially very disappointed as my hair behaved wildly during our holiday.
However now I am back at work and doing my hair daily I think it is a lot tamer and I am even considering having it done again next month as they say it improves evry time you have it done.

Alouiseg · 07/10/2010 22:45

Thank you Sailorsgal :)

I've been having it done for about a year and have decided not to have it done again. I think it's ruined the condition of my hair and the results aren't all that great on me. Maybe it works differently on different hair types Hmm

ManiPedi · 08/10/2010 10:48

Does anyone know if you can have this done if your hair has been colour treated?

RamblingRosa · 08/10/2010 13:24

Yes, you can. I think they recommend you should get your hair coloured two weeks beforehand.

daffsntulips · 08/10/2010 20:02

yes, i had mine coloured a week fter so if i have it done again i am going to have it coloured first and see if it makes a differene

ramblingrosa -- what has it done to your hair? I thought it was suppoed to improve the condition
