Help! Best style of top to hide muffin top.

I'm in the process of losing weight at the moment. Losing off the bottom faster than top. I am a 14 in jeans but 16-18 on top with a horrible muffin top (it really is huge Blush )

Tunic tops just make me look pregnant but in anything fitted the top of me looks enormous compared to my legs.

I'm only 5'2 which doesn't help.

I'm going out for my birthday at the weekend and have nice new jeans but nothing to wear with them.

Any suggestions? Not looking for specific tops as such just an idea of shapes.

Thanks.

Muffin top is caused by unwise clothes choices on your bottom half imo. Better to go for something cut slightly higher on the waisy. I hate to say it, bu M and S are a good option. Primark and Oasis also good. I would maybe go for pretty dresses and tights or leggings? Should solve the problem

I quite like long tops that are fitted - almost dress length. I also wear tube dresses over leggings/jeans but I have fairly decent arms and shoulders - I find it detracts from the belly area to have my shoulders on show. I have to say that I bought some 'shaping' underwear from Primark and it is really not bad for the price - just a few pounds. They do lots of styles but the vest and the pants with v. high waist (up to bra) are good for my belly.

TK Maxx is great for shapewear too :)
