What do you wear to a wedding?

I'm going to a wedding in just under three weeks. It's the wedding of DP's brother and my 3DC's (6,6 &2)are bridesmaids.

I haven't got anything to wear as I just can't figure out what I should wear.
I'm directly connected to the bridal party but don't want to look too formal.

I'm a size 18 with big boobs and a wobbly tummy.
Oh! I don't want to look like a fashionless fuddy duddy either.

Wondered if this dress might be suitable.

or maybe this?

or even this one

or maybe none of them are appropriate.

I've thought about it so hard, I no longer have a clue?

Please help I can't go in just my pants!! Feel free to point me in the direction of more appropriate wedding wear if I'm not even in the same universe as the right sort of thing. Thank you!

Help!

I went to a lovely wedding on Saturday and it was interesting seeing what everyone is wearing and in this weather too.

IMO the first one is a bit fussy and almost a bit 'bridelike'. I also think the the first and the last one might be rather low cut too.

I really like the middle one as it is striking but also covers arms and chest a bit more - and I saw a handful of women (all shapes and sizes) in wrap dresses in different colours and fabrics at this wedding and I thought they looked really good. I think you could get away with just a pashmina in this weather (lots of cheap nice ones on ebay) and nice clutch and shoes.

If you are worried about wobbly bits (and everyone is!) have you ever worn spanx? They are a godsend in my opinion and would give you really smooth lines under a dress like this. Lots of department stores have them and there are copies everywhere (TKMAXX even Primark) try them on first before you buy though as it can be hard to get the sizing right. I would think about getting the high waisted ones that come a little way down the thigh for that dress.

Thank you Lucy!

That one was my favourite as it's more me but I just thought that I wasn't making an effort, iyswim.

As the proud owner of a post twins wobbly tum, I own several pairs of spanx. I just wanted to give as much information as possible.

Thanks again!

I have major norkage too,32G. You need to wear a lowish neckline to flatter. What about this? I can really recommend this dress too.Very comfortable.I know it is black, but wear bright accessories to lift it.Lots of people wear LBD to weddings now.Or what about this from Isabella Oliver? The hot pink is 50% off, supposed to be very flattering, and going by some of the reviews you should size up,and size 20 is still available?

Sorry,this one by Isabella Oliver.

Wow! This is a revelation, I thought Isabella Oliver only did clothes for pregnant women. (In fact when I started this process I wished for a dress similar to the floaty purple wrap dress I had from IO when I was up the duff!)
