You could try the compeed patches. I can't say they stick too well inner surface of lips but have used them when going out . you can put makeup over the patches. < sympathy> Mine have made me feel really porrly the last few times and have sat on a nerve sending shooting pains up my face... If you are getting a lot try asking your doctor for acilovir tablets.

I think you can get some stuff now that dries over the coldsore and seals it - bit like vacuum packing it really. I think how it works is it suffocates it - i.e. stops any more air or germs from your fingers etc getting into it. Then I imagine once the stuffs dried on you could put some make-up over it without it actually getting into the cold sore - which only makes it worse usually.

Cant remember what its called but am sure you would find it in a good chemists.

Pepto Bismol. Dab a bit on. It will help dry it up too.

I was successful in carefully removing as much of the ooze and scab after a shower before sealing it with some of that second skin stuff and then make up.

Up close it will always look wierd, but DH claimed it was invisible from not very far away.

The paper bag over the head is less hassle.
