Happy to buy Ugg look-a-likes but where from?

i already have a pair so not too bothered about having the "real" thing 2nd time round.

However i'd quite like a black pair as my winter wardrobe is mosting leggings, layers, woollen dress/tunics, etc.
I spotted a very cheap pair in Tesco but didn't have time to check out the quality - but they did look very cheaply made.

Does anyone have a recommendation on where to buy from - i think my budget could stretch to £50 Grin

TIA

im tempted by the lambland myself, but three pairs of boots in a week should be enough for anyone Grin

OhCobblers · 02/10/2010 20:40

OhCobblers · 02/10/2010 20:48

dammit - lucycat have just clicked on your dress link and love it and thought i'd just see if they had my size - they do!!

then i looked at all 3 pairs of Bearpaw boots that TK MAxx had to offer in my size and loved the ones you bought but then i looked at these and wondering about having a completely different pair what do you think

I tried those on but was worried about them getting soggy Grin and then falling down and me walking all over the back of them.

Bit too practical for my own good sometimes Grin
the dress is v flattering on btw - the shutter pleats give a great silhouette.

I would really really recommend the River Island 'uggs' they are suede and very hard wearing.

I am on year three with my chestnut pair. I have real Uggs which I love but still wear my River Island ones. They don't sag or go at the heel.

Not black but very nice.

I went to TKMaxx with the intention of getting a pair of Bearpaws but TBH, I found them very sloppy looking around the foot and ankle.

I had another look in the boot aisle and got a pair of rocket dogs but not the usual rd's with chunky soles. These ones are just like Uggs - exactly the same sole - but had the orange rocket dog logo on the back. Really snug fit around the ankles and so comfortable. Cost £30. Really happy with them so do have a good old rummage while you're there.

OhCobblers · 03/10/2010 13:18

I bought some from Next last year and they have been fab. Think they were £30 and they are totally waterproof and have not sagged at all.

snoozathon · 03/10/2010 15:32

I just got some black ones from DP, but not the ones linked earlier - I tried both on, but the £40 ones had a cheap and flimsy-looking sole, these ones are more hard-wearing and real suede, with nicer fur inside than the cheaper ones.

arfasleep · 04/10/2010 09:55

M&S have some too, about £30, think they're suede, am sure they'd be v hard wearing
