I'm addicted to www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com at the moment but it's very celeb-orientated so different to the ones you linked to.

lilbreeze · 01/10/2010 14:19

oops www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com

bunjies · 01/10/2010 14:21

I subscribe to Liberty London Girl

becstarlitsea · 01/10/2010 14:47

Oh I like those. Thank you both.

There's a bit more to read on those ones too, rather than just eye candy. It's all saving me from buying magazines... My ones are all 'street style' I guess and while that does reflect my taste in fashion it's nice to take a look at something different.

Does anyone look at YouTube fashion/beauty stuff? I look at it but haven't found anything I really love yet...

youlookfab.com - brilliant for actual real life clothes/sorting fashion dilemmas for real people.

Love the beauty 'how-to's' on YouTube but haven't really thought of looking for fashion tips there... it seems to be all posted by stunning 18 year olds, so I'm happy for them to teach me how to use eyelash curlers but I probably shouldn't try and dress like them Smile

becstarlitsea · 02/10/2010 18:56

Oh now youlookfab is going to go straight to the top of my favourites! Big thanks for that one - happy hours of browsing lie ahead...

Forgot one of my other favourites jakandjil.com/blog/

And I agree, that's why I haven't found anything I love on YouTube - the only fashion bloggers on there are so young. I keep seeing stuff that I want to buy for my niece, but nothing that would work for me. Even the make-up tips are sometimes a bit young - but then still probably quite useful to watch just so that I don't end up with a carbon-datable make up look. I just incorporate the odd tiny tip though - like updating my lipstick colour or somesuch.

My fav is Wearing It Today

She works for Red magazine and posts what she wears every day. It's great to see how she mixes high street with designer. Last week she wore a pair of gold brogues from Primark and made them look so amazing Envy

EldonAve · 02/10/2010 23:11

I like gofugyourself

becstarlitsea · 04/10/2010 09:53

Love those, especially Wearing it Today. That's exactly the sort of thing I was looking for - some inspiration that's actually wearable.

The only question now is when am I ever going to get any work done Grin?

I really like the satorialist. Not because they are wearable looks (and some people look far too precious) but for ideas on colour combinations, accessories, mixing vintage and modern and also because I think he takes beautiful, natural light people photos. I am jealous. None of this nasty overbleached photoshopped nonsense.

There are some upthemselves people on there, and some extremely stylish -- it's more men than women as well. Just stylish people.

I had to rush out and buy a Burberry trench after too long on that site.

I love libertylondongirl - as you all say it's great to read something written by a woman in her 30s, who isn't a size 8. She loves food as much as she loves fashion, which is enormously refreshing.

selinagaul · 04/10/2010 14:27

I love Already Pretty and Academichic - I like photos of clothing worn by real people, as it makes more sense to me than magazines.
