I've got Brindisi in black and brown (got them last year).

On the one hand Duo is fab because it's the only place I can get boots to fit my calves in. On the other hand, I haven't been blown away by the quality. I've had two zip breaks, for example.

Have you seen them in the flesh or are you trying to decide to mail order?

Brindisi to me is a bit "welly like"- have tried on, but depends what style you want.

I have bern in brown from a couple of years ago, lovely comfy and warm but too big on my newly slimmed calves now, I'd happily get another pair. Brindisi are on my wishlist for this winter

I've got Brindisi in brown - third winter this year - no problems, most comfortable boots I've ever owned and I loooooove them.

I've just ordered a pair of the Bern in tan. I've had Bern before in a gorgeous cherry red and they were great quality which lasted me for 3 years.

They are calf length but flattering and have a warm cosy fleece lining.

The tan are lovely, black look nice too but I thought the brown were a bit wishy washy and pale, not a nice rich brown.

I also tried the Brindsi but not so keen on the finish of the leather.

Going back to the Bern boot, meant to say that when I tried on in store I had to go down a foot size and down 3cm on calf size.

They are pretty generous.

agree bern v generous fit on calf and foot, shorter on leg, well below knee height
