Bought this dress and worried I look frumpy........

here

I bought it to wear with tights/leggings and boots. I've tried it on with black leggings and calf length black boots and I look like I'm dressed up as a 50 year old (no offence intended!). I'm 30.

Do you think there's anything I can add to un-frump it a bit? Funky tights? Jewellery? A scarf?

I'm a size 18/20 btw.

sapphire clearly I should not be listened to - I like it :) How do their sizes compare to say M&S sizes..... (not that I'm asking for any particular reason you understand... (whispers - how tall are you, how long was it?? I'm barely 5ft Confused)

Actually - just looking at it again, I'm sure it would be an awful length on me! Never mind - would still be interested in sizes...

ChippingIn I'm 5ft 7 and it falls just above my knee.

Size-wise, pretty similar to M&S I would say. I'm usually a 20 on the bottom and 18 on the top. I bought the dress in a size 20 and it's probably a bit big (which doesn't help the frumpiness issue!!)

Moral of the story......go to shops and try before you buy I think Grin

TheNextMrsDepp - glad it wasn't just me who thought the M and S one was rubbish (In fact, have never had anything from their Indigo line I've liked but that looked possibly OK online). M and S belts usually tacky, IMO.
