Only two weeks till my cast comes off now, and I can't wait to get some oil/cream on it - it is soo itchy !.
But I have two big scars, and 5 smaller ones underneath, and will want to get going with something on those in an attempt to reduce their appearance.

Any suggestions?

I slapped on the Bio-Oil on my boob reduction scars and worked a treat.

You have to do it for quite a while though Smile

Vitamin E capsules (the ones you are meant to swallow) carefully cut open and rubbed on to the skin.

Rosa mosqueta oil, you can find in health food shops normally. Worked a treat on a burn scar I had and am now addicted to the stuff! About £10 a bottle but lasts a while.

Thanks all !

I seem to remember someone mentioning a product that was better than Bio Oil, that was in health food shops - anyone remember the name ?

There are special plasters you can buy that I found very good for reducing scars (Think the are called elastoplast scar reducing patches.)

My DD cut her chin when she was 3 and had to have stitches. We used these plasters on her (she used to wear them in bed) for about 6 weeks and they drastically reduced the appearance of the scar. You can get them in Boots.

I have used Heal Gel on my tummy tuck scar and it is looking fabulous. Far better than Bio Oil - imo. You can get it from Victoria Health . It isn't cheap but a little goes a long way - mine has just ran out after 8 weeks of application.

Also agree with vitamin E capsules split open and applied direct to the skin.

You might be thinking of PhytaOil - it's similar to Bio Oil but all natural. You can get it from Nutricentre and I think I saw on facebook that it's 20% off at the mo.
