Good jeans for a short&rse?

Hi, I'm 5 foot 3 and for the life of me cannot get a pair of jeans that look 'right'.

The jeans I buy are either too long/too short. Or, they're ok on legs and I have a total muffin top hanging over the top.

Can anyone recommend a good style of jean? Are Boden jeans any good?

I'm about 10st2, measurements are 28waist, 38hip.

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated Smile

I too am 5ft 3 and these jeans from M&S www.marksandspencer.com/Cotton-Rich-Bootcut-Embellished-Jeans/dp/B0038FX8BW?ie=UTF8&customerReviews=true are so flattering - I have two pairs! Read the reviews on the website!

I'm 5ft1 and always found top shop jeans good in petite

Hi, thanks for this. All my jeans look crap on me. The M&S ones look lovely, really stylish. They do free delivery to store too don't they?

mmm[wondering if I've got space on my credit card].... emoticon.

I have come to the conclusion that jeans aren't for me. I'm 5.3 and hover between a 10-12. I think it's a height thing, I don't think they are the best option for shorter women. So I waft about in dresses, wide leg or slim fitting (but not skinny) straight leg trousers.

It is annoying

jooseyfruit · 29/09/2010 12:51

I'm 5'2" and love a straight leg jean. Agree re:M & S jeans being very flattering

I have just bought some Top Shop petite Baxter skinnies. I am 5ft 1 and have all kinds of problems with trousers - generally wear skirts and dresses as I struggle so much to find anything to fit, but these are pretty good.

My DH says I don't really suit jeans but I think it's more with the type I buy. I've had 3 children, youngest is 3 1/2 months and I've got a really unflattering roll of flab at my lower waist.

It's just jeans are so hard-wearing and practical...

Sometimes I go for the Trinny and Suzanna look with a dress and trousers underneath. Was also trying 'jeggings' for a while as they're so comfy but they're going out of fashion now.

Those Baxter jeans look nice too!

I have a massive roll around my middle which is worse since I had my last (6th) baby but I can somehow tuck most of it into these jeans Wink

boobmanagement · 29/09/2010 13:19

dotty - 6 babies!! You should've had a zip put in!

I try to tuck mine in but end up with a big cameltoe! Blush

I actually don't think jeans are hard wearing. When I've had them in the past they've always gone at the crotch in about 6 months -- TopShop/Gap/Paige/Seven4All etc. And my husband's pricey Levi's vintage ones went after 6 months.

Maybe we've got weird crotches!

ButMy other trousers (such as Whistles velvet, Ghost ones, a couple from Margaret Howell) are intact.

The M&S jeans I linked to (slim bootlegs) are really good as they hold my tummy in Grin

NothingButTheTeuch · 29/09/2010 14:25

john rocha petite

boobmanagement · 29/09/2010 16:59

Hi Rassy, they look like they'll suck tummy in. Going to definely order the M&S ones.

Otch, I've never really had any crotch problems. What are you doing to your jeans???
