help me update my wardrobe

Autumn seems to be here and I find yet again I don't have any suitable clothes. Can someone help me find a capsule wardrobe for work and home?
Need some smartish work trousers but must be washable and comfy and few smart tops, and a mac for wet days.
Size 10/12 short
TIA

nobody fancy helping me out? guess I'm just being lazy, hate trawling round shops and no time anyway, and not much confidence about what looks good

try wallis (usually found in debanhams) for your trousers. best ones i've ever had

What i would love to do is have an appointment with some kind of style consultant so tell me what looks good on me and give me ideas, but no spare cash

You could book an appointment with a personal shopper, it is usually free in department stores and there is no obligation to buy.

I have done that in the past and just found her a pushy salesperson not a good opinion
