Help me with face primers (to use instead of, rather than under, foundation?)

I've finished my lovely Clarins beauty balm flash (it was about 3years old, used v sparingley, a christmas present from dh

So, i need to replace it and clarins is a bit above my budget

i don't tend to wear a lot of make up so have found the beauty flash balm was nice to wear instead of foundation. So, I've seen the new loreal primer advertised, and is there one by GOSH too?

Has any one used any of them or any others that they can recommend?

Am on a bit if a budget so when i buy one i want to get the right one! Thanks ladies!

Oooo...thanks for that bishop I'm in NI also so now wondering if I should treat myself to a trip to J1...

I might be tempted to try them in Bicester for the traceless foundation then. Thanks Bishoplyn.

Smashbox primer plus Olay tinted moisturiser makes such a difference to me.
Add GOSH (superdrug?) metallic pearl bronzery things for a bit of sparkle : )
