Hairdresser in (or near) Mayfair?

Hello

I am going to a wedding in November and will be bunking up at FIL's flat just off Berkley square. It's a posh wedding. I have a posh frock, I'm getting posh shoes. DD will be a cute baby flower girl....but all this stylishness is likely to be seriously compromised by my inability to execute a decent hairstyle. I live in the country now, mostly it's fine just to look like a Labrador.

Can anyone suggest a hairdresser in (or near) Mayfair who can give me a cut, blowdry and maybe do something creative with an Alice band? Preferably without the need for a second mortgage!

Thanks
:)

For convenience: nicky clarke is just off Berkeley Square.

TBH - think you'll have to go north of Oxford Street (Marylebone) or into Soho if price is a big issue.

Laurent at John Frieda is fantastic but not cheap. I would love to go back to him but redundancy has prevented this - sob!

Michaeljohn, Daniel Hersheson, John Frieda and Daniel Galvin all very good and very convenient - not cheap, but perhaps worth it for once if you've already invested a lot in your outfit. You can look at the price ranges on their websites - less senior stylists obviously not so pricy, but should all be well trained at those places.
