Subtle facelift.

Have you had, or do you know anyone who has had a facelift that doesn't look obvious?

I'm 36 and having recently been publicly humiliated due to my ugliness I'm determined to have the nose job I've always wanted.

Due to weight loss my face looks quite hollow and saggy. I thought I'd hang on until my 40's until I started worrying about whether or not I needed a facelift but I was kidding myself as I clearly need one now.

I know fillers in my laughter lines and cheeks would help but I'm just not sure I want anything injected into my face and have bottled out of appointments twice now.

If I'm going to be under the anaesthetic for my nose then I might aswell have a facelift too. Holding the skin just above my ears and lifting it by about 5mms makes such a difference to my hollow cheeks so I need to find a surgeon that won't go all Joan Rivers on me and will just do a "gentle" lift.

Does anyone know which London surgeons are best at face/nose work? I don't want the work until next year but would like to start going for consultations now so that I can find the best surgeon for me and get myself on their waiting list.

TIA.

DEFINITELY Norman Waterhouse. Without a doubt. Especially if you are going for both a facelift and rhinoplasty. I actually know a woman that has been to him for a facelift and she looked incredible.

Martin Kelly was considered the best plastic surgeon re rhinoplasty and I had a consultation with him in London about 2 years ago, sadly he has since passed away. Norman Waterhouse is the only other surgeon I have heard exceptionally good things about.

Dr Tracy Mountford is good for fillers and non surgical, I have heard. I am supposed to be going for a consultation but have had to re-arrange so many times due to work etc. I might like a tiny Y lift/volumising with Restylane or something. I have no wrinkles, but have one cheek that looks hollow compared tot he other side of my face!

PP is that not a dimple???

purplepeony · 23/09/2010 21:07

lol- it's bloody big dimple if it is!

Seriously, the bone structure on each sid e of my face is very dfferent and as i have aged, the flatter side seems to show a bit of (whispers) hollow cheek.

Thank you VanillaCupcakes. I shall Google Norman Waterhouse now.

PP, I remember reading about the Y lift and thinking that would be perfect for me. If you do succumb please report back.
