I bought some fab trousers in Zara today...

My Dh and children laughed at me, and said "where's your horse?"

They are really soft, baggy (the sizing is huge) and have an almost jodhpur/harem pant shaping

so comfortable

love most of the stuff in Zara atm.

Love them and am most as they'd look daft on me with my post pregnancy tummy (my baby is 7 yrs old btw).

I like them AF but I couldn't wear them. Am the same height as you but a pearshape hourglass and I think they'd look bloody awful on a woman with HIPS.

Well I looked a bugger in them.
Tried on a great jacket with shoulder pads and puffed sleeves- so tight across bust.

I don't have hips, and am broad shouldered so hopefully they are ok on me

I could never wear padded shoulders, never mind that I already did in the 1980's !

AF I have ordered these in navy, couldn't size down as no stock so ordered a 12 and will see how they fit.

Zara website is shite though, there was a dress I wanted too but couldn't get size drop-down box to appear, tried it on ipad and same, even downloaded zara app but no joy.

I bought a 10, am usually a 12

even the 10 is a lovely, loose fit

but I am hipless with a straight up and down shape and flattish tummy

they sit very low on the hips, and in the crotch too, more so (on me anyway) than the website photo suggests

they are almost harem-like IYSWIM, but with roomy pockets which I like as I like to slouch with my hands in 'em

I might give e'm a whirl in navy. I am kind of slimmish now, 8-10 (dc3 is 1 this weekend so it's about time) so will try both sizes perhaps. We are similar heights I think, 5'10ish?

Oh dear AF, sounds like mine will be too big then. I am an hourglass 12 so maybe my hips will fill them out

My Nike ones are a similar fit and I had to have an 8 in them but they are still very roomy and flattering.

Can always return them and hope they get smaller sizes in meantime.

hmm, prolesworth, I am long of leg too

sometimes trousers labelled extra long, or 34", are too long for me though (I must have a long torso too)

the bottoms are cuffed and sit just on my ankle

however, they are quite slim on the calf, so will tuck into boots and socks when the weather gets colder

I'm not sure many could pull this off but she looks fantastic.
