Tweed - Joules vs Boden ... or have you seen better elsewhere for the same price?

Next one is rather nice and I don't mind the patches.. not so keen on the dubarry and not sure I'm brave enough for the ness - how boring am i !

Try searching on Ebay for tweed if you want something cheaper. The Dubarry stuff looks lovely.

Oh dear, I tried a few tweed jackets hoping to look just like the models ESP the next model but..... Dear oh dear it all looked a bit miss marple! Even god help me a bit clarrisa Dickinson wright.
Tweed in your twenties or thirties looks cool, in your forties it's just too close to the truth, tweed and a nice twinsets beckons.

Just to warn you - was looking at Joules jacket today in JL (not the one in the link though) and thought 'oh lovely buttons' then looked more closely and they have 'Tom Joule' written on every one. Bit of a dealbreaker for me (ie, no way!).

This one. Really nice, but the buttons with the signatures on were just so stonkingly cheesy and embarrassing that I didn't even try it on. Design fail. (It's not clear on the web page - the buttons on that one seem to be a mixture anyway, odd.)

I have just held a Boden party this weekend and they sent the tweed jacket. It was honestly v nice (TBH I thought it was more Joules style than Boden style).

No-one bought it though, not even the lady who talked herself into buying some hideously expensive shoes by calling them 'an investment piece'
